I repaired some woodwork and panels in a motor home for a friend.

I made a point of finding sisters who looked alone and struck up a conversation with them. It was lovely making new friends!

Homemade food for a family that is moving and can’t use their oven.

The friend has Parkinson’s disease and it’s hard for him to do some things.

My neighbor needed to pick up some lumber for a project so I loaned him my utility trailer.

After a day with dealing with something that was hard. I knew to reach and it was a nice dinner with friends.

To brighten our grand daughters new apartment

A friend who feels passionately about an issue before our Select Board was unable to attend the meeting and asked me to go in her stead. I did, and was able to advocate for her interest and offer my lawyering skills to help the Select Board develop a policy to appropriately implement a new statute allowing third-party inspections of construction.

Helped a friend go to bank, shop and carry stuff.

A friend that I lost touch with over the years

Met and talked to an elderly lady in the grocery store while I was helping another friend shop too. We shared experiences of some past events and even exchanged first names! She said she had had a hip replacement.

Invited her daughter over to play w/ my granddaughter

While driving to the Houston airport in rush hour traffic, the car in front of me stalled in the middle lane and the driver had to get out to jump start it. I stayed behind him with my hazard lights on so cars would carefully pass on either side until he successfully got the car started again and was able to safely drive off.

Friend has no car and so when I go to grocery store in Rindge I stop and pick her up too.

Went and helped a sister install " we believe" app and showed her how to use it....

Keep her company while we drive.... Give extra hand when there...

Marguerite has a family that does not care for her well. She was found recently collapsed and frail on her floor, house full of garbage. We are trying to help out.

My neighbor asked if I could help her with some photos and orchids she had for a display at the county fair .... So I did.

Another brother and I replaced some damaged or missing shingles for a sister.

Took my 95 yr old Aunt out to do errands and visit her nephew

Used in local nature center for night time owl banding

E has a tough life and is constantly helping others before herself

My friend was struggling with playing the high notes on her clarinet. I told her how I had been figuring out how to do it. And I walked with her in the hall and helped her feel happy.

N had a fall and has been in hospital for a few days. Went to cheer him ip

Thanking the staff for opening early then caused a good discussion

Barbara went above and beyond during a stressful situation. I thanked her for her effort and diligence.

In the store, a woman was wearing a bright blue and white gingham shirt. I was inspired to compliment her. Later in the parking lot, I stopped her and talked for several minutes about her life. She seemed happy to have a conversation; she spoke for a long time. :)

Took time to thank a stockroom clerk for recognizing his cart was in the path of an elderly woman in a electric cart. He smiled broadly and appreciated my recognition of his effort.

Visited new friend in nursing home on her birthday and brought homemade pumpkin bread.

Sent cards out to friends to let them know they are loved and care about.

I was confused by all the options available and he was able to guide me to the correct part.

I write a note to my mother’s friend to thank her for remembering my mom and for sending her letters, and gave her an update on my mom, since my mom is unable to reciprocate.

It was a wonderful community event enjoyed by many and fostered respect and patriotism for service members and their families.

There’s a guy in our over 70s softball league that’s fairly new to league play. He liked using my bat so I gave it to him to keep and use.

My friend had surgery recently so I dropped by for a brief visit. Later I texted her a beautiful song about slowing down and hearing the Spirit.

I was able to purchase some old veterans boots for display with a flag and a bible in the entry way. The veterans really appreciate it!

Paul and I brought brownies to our elderly neighbors who are a bit reclusive. We had a nice visit with them!

Checked in with nextdoor neighbor after hearing loud noise/commotion/shouting. They were running machinery and wanted to make sure they were safe. Turns out their dog and a friend's dog got into a fight and had to be separated. All turned out ok and was thanked for checking on them.

92 year old acquaintance lives alone with his wife. Called to see if I could help in any way

I introduced myself to someone I don’t know

I had a nice conversation with a friend about our church, including some of our beliefs and the purpose of temples. I invited her to come to our church anytime and told her we made a tentative plan to attend the Portland, Maine Temple Open House in the future.

I’m excited we’re going to have the Sister missionaries over for dinner this evening. Yay!

I reached out to a neighbor who is going to have surgery soon, letting her know she will be in my thoughts and prayers and that I am here if she needs help.

I have begun taking regular walks with a woman in my community who is somewhat isolated and is battling Stage 4 breast cancer. We are enjoying our new friendship.

Helped load additional trailer and pack remaining household items for friends.

I’m new in the neighborhood. Made a cake for Jan as a way of introducing myself.

Helped clear vines and brush. Helped my granddaughter get to work..

Our granddaughter is leaving on a mission in a few weeks and this neighbor has family members who served missions for the Church though he is not a member.

Every two weeks or so I drive a friend grocery shopping.

My neighbor, who is new to the area, asked for a referral to an estate planning attorney and I provided one.

We have new neighbors, a couple of nice young men. I’ve been helping them by loaning tools and giving advice. We’ve also enjoyed sharing dinners with them both at their home and ours.

I baked a cake for the community to enjoy as part of the dedication celebration of a Revolutionary War monument in Lyndeborough.

Walked Saturday and picked up trash as I went.

We brought pizza over to our in-laws as a surprise to help them out and spend time together.

Spent several hours cleaning out hoop house to prepare for late summer planting.

Neighbor had fell many trees and needs to clear them by winter to unblock driveway for snow removal. Took a chainsaw and got to work.

Watched a neighbors dog a couple times when she has had to go out.

I walk our dog along 2nd NH Turnpike. I've taken a trash bag along on our walks and have been picking up litter.

Had a delightful visit e ith our neighbors which if course, blessed us more than them.

Woman that used to do decorating has passed away.. so neighbor and I have decided to do seasonal decorating .

My friend lost her brother suddenly and has been grieving. I took some time to talk with her about all she has been going through.

A neighbor stopped in to talk about water restrictions ( I think!), and we started talking about the church as she had been to SLC years ago. She wanted to see the inside of a temple. So I showed her some pictures I could find, but not enough and talked a little about work for the dead. I gave her a couple booklets of plan of salvation, etc. and sent her the video with elders renlund and elder kearon ( I think!) doing a tour of the Rome temple. Told her about open houses, etc.

New neighbors have a 5 year old that liked my outdoor ride on tractor, excavator, slide and kitchen. Gave them to his family

We have a young couple of men move in and we want them to know we care and are here if they need anything. They came over for dinner and enjoyed playing pool.

Neighbor had to go give support at therapy session for veterans ... Dog is hot in her car.

My friend and her family live in Spokane and I wanted to see how they were faring with the fires in their community. They are safe and they are doing as well as they can be considering. It was good to reconnect.

A cable on the power sliding door of a single mom’s minivan broke awhile back and she was quoted $1,200 for the repair. Since I have the same minivan and have done the same repair on my van in the past, I got the cables (they only cost $25) and did the repair for free.

I went to the family genealogy library and got talking with two nonmembers there about work for the dead in temples which led to the plan of salvation and me drawing a diagram and explaining it to them.

I shared beets and tomatoes with two neighbors. I also shared a bowl of tomatoes with rest of the community here.

My wife Gloria and I were married in this historic chapel so we feel a connection to the chapel which is only open for one service per year

A young couple in our community was in desperate need of a babysitter so I volunteered to watch their kids for a few hours.

My new friend came over and introduced herself. Her name was Jan and it was like we were old companions and we’ve never met so we’re going to lunch for the first time on Tuesday. Making new connections through friendship.

Went to a "garden harvest" picnic at my community garden and met several new people. One man gave me a jar of honey and I gave him a jar of homemade relish. We've since swapped extra vegetables!

Counseled with neighborhood insurance coordinator and presented at neighborhood council meeting.

Helped a neighbor with transport for family.

Brought flowers from my yard and to my mom and we went for a short walk. Helped her engage in some assisted living activities.

Woman passed away who did gardens for others, so I " help" with planting and weed whacking around few small gardens.

Talk with my sweet neighbor about life and gardening.... Swap veggies.

He wants but hasn't had time to plant them so I'll help do them next spring for his bees.

Walked to her car before she left in bare feet to show love and care.

Neighbor called and asked if I could pick him up from hospital tomorrow. On way home he needed groceries and pharmaceuticals.

Our friends just lost their beloved dog, so I sent them a note to let them know we’re thinking about them.

One of my nieces is a brilliant and talented woman who can feel lonely and anxious living alone in L.A. I wrote her a letter yesterday, offering her some support (and some aunt-advice!) and gave it to her before she flew back to L.A. I also gave her a hand-printed towel I had made as a reminder that she is very much loved.

Work of developing a Pocket Neighborhood zoning ordinance in Harrisville: Writing article in town newsletter tons of committee work crafted a survey for community feedback etc.

about 3-4 years ago one of my neighbors (Peter Colbath) became ill with some sort of dementia which got progressively worse. Because of this I began taking care of his lawn. About a year ago he passed away. I have continued to take care of his lawn and gravel driveway, as well as other minor things that need doing, around their property.

my sister's grandchildren struggle with emotional problem and dysfunctional upbringing. I help to encourage and guide and negotiate challenges through weekly meetings.

Since my mother lives in assisted-living, I periodically go shopping for her. I bought her new clothes, she tried them on, and then I took her to lunch.

My niece is getting married on Saturday. I have been helping my sister and brother-in-law prepare their home and grounds as that’s where the wedding is going to take place.

Spent couple of hours staining cedar shakes to replace damaged ones on neighbor's home.

I was picking out asparagus next to another woman. Since I was nearest to the bags, I handed her one before I got one for myself. She seemed genuinely grateful that I took a moment to do a very simple kindness. I think we both felt uplifted.
