Chatted with 2 men at renaissance park. They showed me kindness and helped me measure a space for the Nashua Multicultural Festival.

They are caught in the paperwork slowdown at the State Dept. The fees for work papers have gone to $1000 and the applied two months ago and don’t have any response. And the new rules take away your driving license if you don’t get work authorization . These people came 3 years ago and established their lives. They have relearned their professions in English. They were vetted! Our team of volunteers raised $30k to support them for a whole year! But they were completely independent in 5 months.

I saw a woman wearing a pin with a picture of a young child and asked about it. She told me her son had passed away and I was able to ask her about some things he enjoyed (dinosaurs and peanut butter).

It was a moment where I normally would have just waived. Instead I took some time to chat and ask about their children and it ended up being a lovely moment that turned from a normal "too busy" to talk to a reminder that it was good to know what was up with this neighbor and their family :)

There were 4 newbies and there was only one position open, so Vickie, the moderator, split it into shifts. I did 5:30 am to 10. There were 7 voters in line at 6 when the poll opened but it was really slow after that. Usually there weren’t people in the check in lines.

I hadn't seen my neighbor and his dog, Buddy, out walking in a while, so I checked in to see how they were doing and unfortunately he had to put his dog down :( The dog was so sweet and I was sad to hear, but I think sharing in that sadness and was helpful for his owner and also good that someone was thinking about him. I plan to make a point to checkin again sometime soon.

I shared appreciation for the layout of the Greeley Park Art Show with an organizer. It's always a beautiful event and I love to see the art. But, this year I particularly noticed many display tents faced onto open grassy area with some toys/activities for kids. What a great idea!

Nourish New England collected nonperishable food and toiletries at Granite State PountineFest. I've gone to PoutineFest before but this is the first time I brought something to donate!

I was asked to serve DA because he was sad because his sister was not home. He helped me do some chores and then did a craft.

I met Fran Tenza’s daughter and was able to express my gratitude for Fran and her family’s support 40 years ago when my twins were born.

I go every 10 days to replace a medical device. While there , I take out the trash and do what needs to be done.

Andy's Summer Playhouse is like a second home over the summer. We are there almost every day because our daughter is in many of the productions. We are like a big family as we support our kids, the theater and each other. At the end of the summer, we come together one last time to clean up the playhouse and strike the set.
