I added 2 people to Findagrave years ago. Today their great grandaughter asked to be in charge of their grave entries. I smiled as I released them to her, knowing that yet another person was caring for their ancestry.

Transferred maintenance of a mother’s gravesite over to a Findagrave member who lives out of state.. She was pleased to accept my offer to also clean her mother’s stone. I love making connections like this, when family present is remembering family past.

Next door neighbor broke her riding lawn mower at the beginning of the summer. Ended up taking her yard on as well as doing my own. Was able to invite her to church. I've seen great things happen.

I was bringing eggs to my friend down the street. She wasn’t home but her husband came to greet me. He had lost his foot and lower leg recently and I was happy to spend some time cheering him and encouraging him in his transition. I will try to get by to visit with him again now that I know.

We have lots of daylillies and peonies throughout the cemetery. I took time to pull the dead stalks away and weed the surrounding areas. Putting the beds away for the winter gives a more cared for appearance.

An investigator into the church. No place to go and no food took them in. Made sure that they had food and made sure that I could find them some shelter for the night. The next day I took them to a homeless shelter where they could be cared for still in contact with this person who is getting hopefully housing soon.

I helped her pare down in 1 room of her house. Some went into trash, some went onto a share site, and some went to her child’s school. Having help deciding which should go where helped an overwhelmed mom make great strides at downsizing. She was pleased when we left at the progress that was made.

Had a neighborhood theater that lost their lighting control program for their theater. Went in and programmed. Charged them nothing just so they could have the show that night.
